New Titles – w/e 19th February 2011
Annoyingly, Saturday’s delivery hasn’t arrived; I assume it’ll trail in on Monday 21st.
Jasper Fforde – One of Our Thursdays is Missing the return of Thursday Next, except she’s gone missing, and another must be recruited! Embargoed until the 22nd, I’m afraid, as is the new Steven Erickson, The Crippled God. (well, the 21st for his book)
McSweeney’s Issue 36 – collection of booklets in a cubic cardboard head who looks a little reminiscent of the cover of In the Court of the Crimson King by King Crimson! It looks great, and when you flip open the top of his head there are leaflets, booklets, postcards, etc. Chapters of a novel by Michael Chabon. Even a screenplay for a comedy featuring Mike Myers and a tandem! Also a roll of some strange fortune cookie inserts!
Douglas Clegg – Isis short tale of the supernatural, with b&w illustrations by Glenn Chadbourne
in large format:
Mark Chadbourn – The Silver Skull part 1 of his Swords of Albion series; part 2 came in last month. Elizabethan fantasy.
Douglas Clegg – Mordred, Bastard Son they say history is written by the winners, so here’s Camelot from a loser’s PoV!

Wells – The Door in the Wall small book containing 3 short stories: the title story, The Sea Raiders and The Moth; issued as one of 50 matching titles to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Penguin Modern Classics. I won’t be stocking all 50, but I do also have the Lovecraft (The Colour Out of Space), E. M. Forster (The Machine Stops) and Paul Bowles titles…
Camilla d’Errico – Femina & Fauna h/c with cute pictures of girls and animals, with emphasis on pink and yellow. Her style is described as pop surrealism.
Terryl Whitlatch – Animals: Real and Imagined softcover edition; the h/c came in last month. A variety of critters shown in all stages from preliminary sketch to final full colour art. Looks great.
the Brothers Washburn – Color Ink Book b&w softcover with loads of strange images to admire or to colour in!
Eric Liberge – On the Odd Hours great-looking softcover graphic novel about a French museum whose exhibits come to life at night. Nothing like the film Night at the Museum, though!
