in hardback:
Neal Stephenson – Some Remarks 18 essays, etc. ranging from a page to 110+ pages, most of which has been previously published… The longest piece is Mother Earth, Mother Board from 1996. He’s appearing at the Book Festival in a couple of days…
Ned Beauman – The Teleportation Accident strange genre-crossing novel set in Berlin in 1931 (at least initially) which I find impossible to describe in a few words!
Doctor Who – The Wheel of Ice new novel featuring Jamie, Zoe and the second Doctor (Patrick Troughton), written by Stephen Baxter
in large format:
Stephen Baxter – Iron Winter the final book in his Northland trilogy set firmly in (alternate) historic times in 1315 as the little ice age descends across northern Europe, including Doggerland, secure behind it’s great wall
in ‘B’ format:
Neal Stephenson – Reamde extremely fat present day thriller based around computer gaming. I enjoyed the h/c a lot a year ago.
in paperback:
Janny Wurts – Initiate’s Trial book 1 of the Sword of the Canon set. Also book 9 overall of her Wars of Light and Shadow sequence!
James Axler – God War the latest Outlanders adventure!
art, etc:
Paul Bonner – The Art of PB excellent retrospective of his career to date. Full colour h/c
