New Titles - w/e 1st October 2011

in hardback:

Christopher Priest – The Islanders a new novel, which appears to be set in The Dream Archipelago, which was the title of a previous novel  of his years ago…
Peter F. Hamilton – Manhattan in Reverse short story collection, with all his published short stories since A Second Chance at Eden came out
Lev A. C. Rosen – All Men of Genius Violet Adams disguises herself to attend the male-only top science institute; steampunk mystery adventure!

J. R. R. Tolkien – Mr. Bliss little hardback of an illustrated childrens story which might have been the follow up to The Hobbit! It is completely different though.
The 1st half is the regular text with his illustrations, but you can also start at the other end and read a facsimile of the original in his own handwriting in landscape view, which I assume matches the way it was written in the original notebook.  And if his writing is too difficult to read, there’s also the printed text again on the next page!
