French Connection Creperie Wagon
It’s been serving crepes to passersby for years.
Good ones!
And now after 14 years the council have refused their licence renewal.
I’m not sure how removing a long-established caterer who’s there in all weathers all year assists their overall plan of improving the Grassmarket as an attractive amenity. In future the Counci apparently plan to licence other vendors for specific events wnen necessary.
The crepe wagon isn’t even meant to stay until the end of the year.
This seems unfair to me and I’ll be off to sign their petition after I lock up.
Unaffected by fire!
The Friday night fire at Khushi’s Restaurant in Victoria Street has led to Victoria Street being closed to traffic, and some shops there may be closed, but Transreal and the rest of the Grassmarket shops are open as usual with no problems.

Holidays!
As usual, (depending on trade) the shop will shut late afternoon on Christmas Eve and re-open on Saturday, the day after Boxing Day. I shan’t be open on Sunday 28th, though.
Similar arrangements will apply at the New Year.
